Italy Regno, Usage of Sardinian Adhesives, 1863: 5 c. verde in a horizontal strip of five and a single example, an overall fine and fresh multiple, the largest strip possible, tied by "BARI 28 LUG 63" cds to lettersheet
directed to Montesarchio, reverse with NAPOLI transit and MONTESARCHIO arrival (Aug 1) cds's. Cut in the margin between 1st and 2nd stamp, pre-use wrinkle between 2nd and 3rd stamp, an exceptional franking to pay correctly the double inland rate.

Dirigible Norge, Amundsen-Ellsworth-Nobile Transpolar Flight 1926 (Apr 10): Flown envelope franked with 'VII Centenario Francesano' L 1.25 tied by "Teller/Alaska/May 13, 1926" four-bar c.d.s and Special Airmail vignette
cancelled with the oval flight cachet "Dirigible Norge, Amundsen-Ellsworth-Nobile Transpolar Flight 1926" and adjacent boxed special cachet applied at upper left of cover, signed by Crew member Renato Alessandrini. The Italian adhesive remained

the flight from Dakar to Natal the plane encountered problems and tried to land on a beach near Fortaleza in Brazil. The salvaged mail was carried to Buenos Aires on a Panamerican flight, mounted on album pages with a newspaper clip confirming the
