Carried to Paris on the steamer "Alps" (Hamburg America Line) and internally annotated thus. Receipt inside signed in Paris (June 4) and then returned to Haiti. Ironed bend and sides of the wrapper reinforced. The sole New Die 5 c. recorded on an Avis de Reception form. A magnificent and very attractive usage. Provenance: Collection F. A range of Tunis datestamps struck between September 24 and 30, the cover then returned with bilingual "RETURN TO SENDER" cachets applied in red (Nov 18 and Nov 23) and circular "VISE" handstamp in violet.
