To the back an 'L' oval Liverpool packet datestamp in black (28 July). The one shilling rate up to ½ oz. The contents relates to the grain commodity market. Reverse with CLOUGH / ANTRIM cds in black, a thimble LONDON transit (AP 18) in blue as well as a Souillac arrival cds in black (May 25). 4206 cover image1847 (Sept 11): 1 s. pale green, embossed, vertical strip of three, with mainly clear to large margins showing part of five adjoining stamps, affixed inverted on cover, from Liverpool to Philadelphia, USA, dated 26 July 1851, endorsed "Europa" (Cunard) which arrived in Boston 5 August, tied by a combination of the Liverpool '466' barred oval in black, a 'PAID' mark, a Boston packet large circular transit in red (Aug) and a '4' handstamp all in red, together with a '10/CENTS' mark in red alongside. To the reverse a Liverpool floating receiving house circular datestamp 'Liverpool / F.R.H.' in black. There is a vertical filing fold centrally running through the left hand stamp, otherwise fine.
