Has vertical pencil mark that was put on as a guide as to the bisecting and handstamping of the provisional surcharge. A diagonal crease doesn't detract. Fine appearance. 5170 cover image1907/30: Collection contained within one large album, comprising eighty KGV postal stationery envelopes and registered stationery. Almost entirely used, with a few unused and a small number of 'Specimen' examples. Good range of frankings, postmarks and usages. Variety of registered. Origins include; Aba, Brass, Degema, Ebute Metta, Ibadan, Ikot-Ekpene, Logas, Opobo, Onitsha,Oyo, Zaria and others. Mostly destination mail to Europe and America. Although noted 1932 1½ d. envelope uprated with additional 1 d. and ½ d. sent to Kobe, Japan. 5111 * imageBiafra 1967: Commercial envelope sent registered, franked with Nigerian postage (x4 1d & x1 9d) and unusually a Nigerian Oyo Carver 3 d. deep-green aerogramme stationery cut-out (to make up the rate 1 s. 4 d.), used from Eziamgbo to Enugu, dated 15 June 1967, cancelled by "EZIAMGBO P.A." circular datestamp in black, with an "ISHIELU COUNTY COUNCIL / EZZAMGBO ABAKALIKI" cachet dated by manuscript. To the reverse, three further strikes of the Eziamgbo datestamp and a partial registered oval of Enugu dated 15 June 1967. A scarce combination(Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3)
