overprint, on letter using French Government of West Africa, Dahomey Colonie stationery. The stamps are cancelled ANECHO (14. Dec.) in blue. The letter is addressed to ANTHIEME with an arrival mark dated 20. December. The German type canceller
appears to have been misset and no month slug has been inserted as is recorded on other items from this date. The 10c. stamp has been overprinted by two different types. This variety is unrecorded in Michel. The envelope has been folded and displays
waterstains. Nonetheless a most rare and remarkable cover. Certificates Kilian BPP (1980) and Bothe BPP (1983). (Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3) (Image 4)
