Cameos 1874 (Aug): 4 d.brown and 6 d. deep blue, wmk. Crown CC, each with excellent colour
and large margins all round, on small piece overprinted "CANCELLED" in black (Samuel type D6); these being from the document submitted to the Chinese Imperial Maritime Customs in 18 June 1877 as specimens of embossed stamps produced by the firm.
