Lebanon Russian Offices. Cover written on 4 July 1868 (handwritten in Arabic on the envelope) shipped from TRIPOLI to Ibrahim Naccache in ALEXANDRIA. Franked with 2 Piastre blue and rose ROPIT stamp with horizontal network and vertical
lines shadow (Michel 4 I) killed by the "ТРИПОЛИ 4/7/68" black CDS (Tchil. fig 211, RRR on ROPiT stamps). The fast arrival attested by the Russian CDS "РОПиТ АЛЕКСАНДРИЯ" dated 8/7/1868 (Tchil. fig 256) suggests that in Beirut shipping hub has been

Ottoman period, French mail. Letter written in Tripoli on 27/2/1719 by French trader Isoard Le Camp affiliated with the Boyer company of Marseilles, recipient of the letter. Sent by the ship of Captain Sermet the letter was inserted
without an address in the special box kept on the ship that would be delivered to the shipowner Boyer himself. A commercial letter with interesting notes on the ash of Syrian shrubs used in Marseille for the manufacture of the famous soap. CERTAINLY

Ottoman period, French mail. Another letter, but from Saida 21/5/1719 with text added on 23/5/1719 by French trader Founene Le Boulle affiliated with the Boyer company of Marseilles, recipient of the letter. Sent by the ship of Captain
Gaymard, the letter was inserted without an address in the special box kept on the ship that would be delivered to the shipowner Boyer himself. Interesting note on the waiting for Captain Sermet's boat (the Captain mentioned in the previous letter)
attesting to his regular circuit between the Syrian coast and Marseille. The commercial letter also contains notes about competition with the skins of Cyprus and yarns prices of Bezes and Jerusalem. CERTAINLY SCARCE AND INTERESTING LETTER OF
