284 image1846-2010 collection neatly written up and presented in six albums with a group of pre-stamp (or stampless) covers (7), then an impressive and extensive U range of the early defins, with 1851-54 2 RBS blue (fine), 4 RBS brown (7 + on cover), 1854 2sk (4), 4sk (4), 8sk (3) & 16sk (3). 1858 incl. 8sk (3) and a group of 35 4sk with (mostly different) numeral postmarks, 1863 16sk roulette (2, scarce), 1864 to 16sk (2) incl. 3sk and 4sk imperf, with covers (3) incl. 2s & 4s to Hamburg, 1870 issues incl. the scarce 2sk P.12½ (2 short perfs, Cat. £4000, Kaiser Cert) and ranges to 1903 with some stationery cards etc. The later issues incl. both the 5k Post Office issues and many covers & cards. The second album focusses on airmails with the 1925 Air set FU and numerous examples (various combinations) on cover, incl. 1925 10o (4) and 25o to UK, 1926 attractive multi-franking incl. the 10o, 15o & 25o, 1931 1k registered to Luxembourg (scarce) etc. and a group of Zeppelin covers (12) or cards incl. to Rio, with five from Germany (bearing various issues incl. 2m South America Flight), 1932 from Danzig etc. with other 1930's flights, then numerous airmail covers to 1970's, plus some local issues, perfins etc, and in addition, a fine range of D.W.I.
