 BRITISH COMMONWEALTH 1840-1936 collection in a pair of New Imperial printed albums (in fine condition), with the earlier material typically U and in mixed condition) with many later issues M. The collection is a little remaindered (as is
reflected by the catalogue prices at the foot of each page, which should be disregarded in many cases), but a very substantial collection remains with many areas well represented. These include GB with a decent three margin 6d Embossed, 1d Plates to
Pl.224 (excl. Pl.135), 100+ Surface Printed issues, KEVII to 5s, some Officials etc, Antigua with earlier U and later M, Australia mostly U, Barbados and British Guiana with useful early issues, Canada U with some better QV, then most spaces filled
and Capes with three each of 1d, 4d & 6d, 1s (2) and later issues. Cayman Islands mostly M, Ceylon with 50 or so Chalons (very mixed), Egypt, Gibraltar, Hong Kong with useful U QV-KGV, India & States, Malta and Natal (early types plus some high value
fiscals etc). Australian States are well represented (in particular QLD & NSW), Newfoundland with some earlier U and later M, Papua, Rhodesia (a good range, incl. high values with fiscal cancels), St. Helena with many early issues M or U, St. Lucia
