Reverse with rough opened flap and small loss at top from tape stain removal. Red crossed cover with manuscript "Registered No. 67" suggesting 8d registered Pre-UPU letter rate. Leski Auctions reports a Dec 17, 1886 cover from Victoria as the earliest recorded postal cover to New Guinea (also lacks a postal receiver).
