478 imageGREAT BRITAIN COLLECTIONS GROUP, includes 14 individual collections of mint and used G.B singles, mostly on Scott album pages, each is contained in plastic, much of the material and value here is in the pre 1900 period with some running up into the 1930's with some later, the overall condition here is very mixed and faults are to be expected, there is of course duplication, there is a Penny Red collection which includes 127 different plate numbers, individual stamp values up to about $300 with some higher and dozens of items with values in the $100-300 range, two collections catalog over $10,000, one at 7,800, one at 3,750, two at around 2,000 and five around $1,000 each, we noticed a few better cancels here and there, a great lot to "mine" for individual items for retail or auction or internet, also a nice group for the retailer of collections.

480 imageEXTENSIVE GREAT BRITAIN COLLECTION, includes several hundred mixed mint and used but mostly used, hinged and mounted in a Davo album with dust cover, the collection runs to about 1993 and includes a strong B.O.B. section of Postage Dues and Officials, the overall condition here is mixed and there are some faults but there are plenty of Very Fine stamps here too, also there are hundreds of varieties and cancels throughout, some of the better stamps include: 1-4, 5-7, 22-28, 34-42, 57-75, 96-109, 139-142, 173-76, O2-7, 27-30, 49-52, there is a used O24 but we did not count it because we are not confident that the overprint is genuine as it looks to be applied after the cancel, expertising is required to verify this very rare stamp, there are a good number of shade varieties and plenty of better cancels throughout, a wonderful collection with many better stamps but still room for expansion, well worth a good look and careful consideration.
