265 image EXTENSIVE TAXPAID COLLECTION, includes several hundred virtually all different, hinged in three albums, mixed mint and used with a few hundred mint items from the Smithsonian release, strong in Cigarettes and also Cigars with a good amount of value in the early issues, there is a full album of Tobacco Strips of over 250 different, with many of the later issues being Smithsonian releases, nice strong early section too, the third album has Snuffs, Tobacco and some Playing Cards, there are also some Beers here and a few dozen large Special Tax stamps, the overall condition of this collection is very impressive with all of the "minty" items being sound, even many of the early issues are well centered and with only minor faults, the Springer catalog value of the early material probably exceeds $400 and the Smithsonian material often retails in the $1,000+ range, a really wonderful opportunity for the collector who wants to jump into Taxpaids in a big way with lots of stamps and albums to put them in, this lot also includes a 9th and 10th edition of Springer, and also a Boston Revenue Book reprint, one of the better overall Taxpaid collections we have offered in many years, don't let this one slip by, (ENV 2,000-3,000) (Image)
