3114 cover imageHsuan Tung Year 1 (1911) Tihwa (13 Dec) to Turfan. Large official cover from the Chief Secretary of Sinkiang, frankless, applied with Tihwa origin cds, AR mark and registered mark. Arrived Turfan (16 Dec). Wenbaoju in Sinkiang was established rather late (1910) and operated until 1914 which was later than those in other provinces. This example was probably registered for monthly payment and therefore frankless.

宣統一年（1911）迪化寄吐魯番。大型公文封，寄自甘肅新疆布政使司，無貼票，鈐迪化始發日戳、AR章及掛號章。10.26抵吐魯番。新疆文報局到1910才成立，較大多數省份晚，並到1914年才裁撤。此封採用公文掛號聯單交案制度，即零寄整付，故無貼票。(Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3) (Image 4)

3125 cover image1913 Tihwa (3 Mar) to Turfan via Wenbaoju. Large official cover, f.w. Coiling Dragon Commercial ovp. ROC 1c, tied by Sinkiang Tihwa cds., alongside with "Forward to Wenbaoju, Express Delivery No Delay" cachet. This Wenbaoju cachet is much rarer than the later "Sinkiang Tihwa Wenbao" registered mark. 1c is intra-city rate only as the correct intra-Sinkiang rate should be 3c, probably concessionary rate to official mail?

1913.3.3 迪化經文報局寄吐魯番。大型公文封，貼大國字蟠龍1分，銷新疆迪化府腰框日戳。另見“交文報局速遞勿延”直戳。此文報局直戳遠比後來之“新疆迪化文報”掛號橫戳難得，存世應不過數件。1分僅及本埠郵資，新疆省內郵資應為3分，可能因公文而獲優惠處理？(Image 1) (Image 2)

524 cover image1934 (25 Aug) Cover from the "Szechuan Bandits Supression Army" to Chengtu, f.w. Martyrs ovpt. Limited For Use in Szechuan 13c, tied by Liangshan bilingual cds. Arrived Chengtu (2 Sep). In Oct 1933, the warlord troops in Szechuan formed the "Szechuan Bandits Supression Army" which aimed to eliminate the Red Army in North Szechuan.

1934.8.25 “四川剿匪軍”封自梁山寄成都，背貼烈士加蓋限四川貼用1角3分，銷梁山三格英漢日戳。9.2抵成都。1933年10月，劉湘就任四川剿匪總司令，將四川軍閥部隊整編為6路“四川剿匪軍”，旨在圍攻川北紅軍。(Image 1) (Image 2)
