2405 cover image1896 (11 Dec) US Consulate Shanghai cover to Nanking, frankless, address trimmed, applied with Shanghai LPO origin cds in red. Arrived Nanking LPO oval arrival d.s. (14 Nov). Early example of Nanking LPO which was estalished on 20 Sep 1896.
