2505 cover image1877 Hiogo, Japan to England, f.w. Penny Red 1d x8, tied by extremely scarce "BRITISH CONSULATE / HIOGO" coat of arms seal. Arrived London (31 Mar) with additional strike of FB obliterator. With RPSL certificate. In 1863, Britain set up consulate at Hiogo with a postal agency inside. Volume of mails were not inconsiderable. The postal agency was then moved to Kobe. This cover dated 1877 and was still delivered by British Consualte at Hiogo while D30 obliterator was already available. Unique.

1877年兵庫寄英國， 貼紅便士8枚，銷極罕之英國駐兵庫領事館盾徽橢圓戳記。3.31抵倫敦，貼票再銷FB殺手戳。附皇家郵學會證書。 1863年，英國於兵庫設計領事館兼作郵政代理。信件量一直不多，後來該郵政代理移至神戶。此封出自1877年，當時神戶英局之郵務量已較高，並已使用D30殺手戳，但此封仍經使館寄出，孤品。(Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3) (Image 4)

2506 cover image1879 (10 Apr) "Round the Word" German 10pf PSC, sending from Dobeln and return to Dobeln via Japan and other countries. In combination with Norwegian 20 ore, tied by Vaalerisma (19 Apr) cds. Further Transit Christiania (21 Apr), Singapore-to-Hong Kong marine sorter (25 May), Hiogo BPO (12 May; obviosuly wrongly inserted date), Hiogo Japanese PO (24 Jun), Yokohama (29 Jun), San Francisco (17 Jul). Finally arrived Dobeln (10 Apr). T mark and "Post Cards to This Address / Cannot be Forwarded" applied in USA. With BPA certificate. Given the low volume of mails, existing exampels of Hiogo BPO are very scarce as Webb only recorded one cover front with Hiogo BPO and D30 obliterator. As this PO was closed after 1879, it is probably a last year usage.

1879.4.10 “環遊世界”德國10芬尼郵資片，自Dobeln寄挪威，途經日本等國，返回Dobeln。加貼挪威票20歐爾，銷4.19 Vaalerisma日戳。4.21經Christiania，5.25經新加坡至香港海上分揀，5.12（誤植日期）經兵庫（神戶）英國客郵局，6.24 經兵庫（神戶）日本郵局，6.29經橫濱，7.17經三藩市。4.10返回Dobeln。於美國鈐T章及‘Post Cards to This Address / Cannot be Forwarded”指示戳。附BPA證書。 兵庫（神戶）英國客郵局郵務較少，故存世例子甚罕，Webb記錄中僅見一件同時蓋有兵庫英局圓戳及D30殺手戳之封面。此郵局於1879年後關閉，此片可能為最晚一年郵例。(Image 1) (Image 2)

2507 o image1863-1874 Hong Kong QV 2nd issue wmk CC 8c (Yang 11) tied by extremely scarce Nagasaki BPO N2 obliterator in violet. With a white dot on obverse centre. Diagonal line is noted on reverse upon illumination, probably restored. With BPA certificate (2003). N2 obliterator is very scarce.

2508 cover image1886 Nagasaki (1 Jan) to Italy, f.w. Hong Kong QV 10c in pair but uncancelled as Nagasaki BPO was already closed in 1879. On reverse with Nagasaki Japanese Post origin cds. Transit Yokohama (7 Jan), Napoli (22 Jan). Arrived Rome with oval handfilled company d.s. (12 Feb). The uncancelled Hong Kong stamps were not recognized as valid postage upon arrival at Italy. T mark and "0.50" due annotation were applied. In combination with Italian 50c postage due stamp in pair for double due amount. Exceptional taxed example due to the closure of British Post in Japan. Extremely scarce.

1886.1.1 長崎寄意大利，貼香港維多利亞女皇像10仙雙連，但由於長崎英國客郵局於1879年已關閉，故無蓋銷。背面蓋有長崎日本郵局始發日戳。1.7經橫濱，1.22經拿坡里。2.12抵羅馬，鈐手填橢圓形公司日戳。 由於香港票未有蓋銷，故不獲意大利郵政承認，被判為欠資。蓋有T章及寫有欠資“0.50”字樣，貼意大利欠資票50分雙連，以合雙倍罰資。因英國在日客郵局關閉而產生之欠資票，極為有趣難得。(Image 1) (Image 2)

Coiling Dragon 10c for further redirection to USA. In combination with Chrysanthemum issue 10s, tied by UPO Shanghai (23 May) cds. Transit Yokohama (3 Jun), San Francisco (23 Jun). Applied with the officially sealed label of Britisih, Japanese and American PO. Remarkble triple country combination. Faults along edges.

1900.9.1 上海寄英國，貼菊切手加蓋支那1錢雙連，上海日局日戳。10.4抵倫敦，因地址不全退回上海（5.8），改寄南京（5.17）。貼蟠龍1角重寄美國，貼混貼菊切手10錢，銷上海日局5.23日戳。6.3經橫濱，6.23經三藩市。貼英、日、美三國郵局之重封封條，精彩難得。(Image 1) (Image 2)

In combination with Koban 2s + 3s tied by Shanghai IJPO (30 Jun). Transit Nagasaki (5 Jul). A very rare and unusual destination, sent shortly before the Sino-Japanese War and the subsequently closure of Japanese post offices in China. Combination of Small Dragon and Japanese issue is also scarce. Illustration fig 3-153, p. 265 in "The Small Dragon" by Michael M Y Ho.

1894.6.22 蕪湖寄朝鮮之美國戰艦Baltimore，貼小龍11度半光齒3分銀帶左過橋邊紙，銷蕪湖海關日戳。6.24經上海海關。加胋日本小判2錢 + 3錢，銷上海日局6.30日戳。7.5經長崎。此封寄於甲午戰爭爆發前，寄朝鮮之小龍封甚為少見，而小龍混貼日本票同樣難得。何沐源著《小龍郵票》第265頁圖3-153原件。(Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3) (Image 4)

2556 cover image1885 England (10 Jun) to Captain Gordon, Royal Marine, Port Hamilton (Komundo Island) via Hong Kong. Mourning cover, f.w. QV 5d, tied by Huntly duplex d.s. Transit with Singapore-to-Hong Kong marine sorter (12 Jul). The British troops occupied the Komundo Island (Port Hamilton in English) in order to compete against Russian invasion of Korea. A battery was built.
