 1876 (7 Jul) Entire letter by Tsinghai to Singapore by courier, applied with vertical courier seal. The content was to let sender's relative in Singapore to handle the legal matter of probate. With english document translated
by the court in Singapore. Earliest recorded letter from Tenghai to Singapore. A rarity.
1876.7.7 澄海縣冠山鄉許氏托水客寄新加坡之郵簡，鈐“月浦”直戳。內容為請新加坡的親屬代為處理遺產糾紛。附有新加坡法庭譯為英文之文件作證。為已知最早之新加坡寄澄海信件。為一大珍品。2008年版許茂春著《東南亞華人與僑批》第202頁4-48a及4-48b原件。(Image 1)

 1928 a pair of Qiaopi (money remittance letter) and Huipi (receipt of remittance) to/from Singaprore with same serial number "9489". Latter with Qiaopiju seal. Probably both Qiaopi and Huipi were sent by bulk mail. Very scarce
pair.
