 Tongzhi Year 7 (1868) a letter from the Kansu military commander cum Governor of Shensi and Kansu to Grand Council, requesting the change of postal route from "via Lungsihsien" to "via Alxa League" to avoid bandit.
同治七年（1868）督辦甘肅軍務寧夏將軍署陝甘總督信紙一份，內容為要求軍機處將驛遞郵路由經隴西縣改至由北路遞至阿拉善旗，以避免丟失。(Image 1)

 1919 (5 Feb) Large official cover from the Beile of Dörbet Oirat to the Governor of Sinkiang, Yang Tseng-hsin, applied with official seal. The Governor of Sinkiang Yang had extensive correspondence with the local leaders in
Kobdo to gain their supports since Altay became part of Sinkiang. This cover was probably by Chinese courrier within Sinkiang (until reaching Kuchengtze) and Yizhan within Mongolia. Cover roughly opened at top.

大型公文封，由杜爾伯特左翼多羅札薩克貝勒寄新疆省長楊增新，鈐官印。自1918年阿勒泰劃歸新疆，楊增新時常與科布多地區各部落領袖通信以爭取人心。此封應是經新疆境內之中國信差送至古城子，再經蒙古之驛站送遞。封頂打開。(Image 1)
