Very scarce cover addressing to Customs Hangchow from Russia. Dated during Russo-Japanese War so this cover was probably sent via sea route.

1905.5.8 俄國寄杭州海關。俄國7戈比郵資片，加貼賑濟孤兒票3戈比，銷華沙日戳。6.29經上海中國郵局落地。俄國寄杭州海關十分獨特。當時為日俄戰爭期間，故應是經水路送至中國。(Image 1) (Image 2)

Arrived Chungking (1 Nov). Dated two days before postage adjustment although domestic letter rate was not changed.

1942.10.30 成都寄重慶，背貼紐約版孫像2分八方連 + 中信版1角6分，合3角2分平快郵資，銷成都三格漢英日戳。11.1抵重慶。 日期為調資前兩天，但外埠及平快郵資保持不變。(Image 1) (Image 2)
