Arnold Glatthard established the first mountaineering school in the world and trained numerous mountaineering students such as Tenzing Norgay who is the partner of Edmund Hillary, the first two persons reaching the summit of Mount Everest.

1363 piece image1903 (8 Nov) Indian QV typewritten “Tibet” (italic with dot) 3p in pair + “Tibet” (upright with dpt) 1/2a on piece, tied by Khamba Jong cds. Only 16 recorded examples of Tibet typewritten on Indian stamps exist according to Waterfall, not mention this example gathers two overprint types on one piece and showing the location by cds. Extremely scarce. 1996 (23 Jul) Christine’s London, lot 561.

1903/11/8 西藏打字郵票3派雙連（斜體帶點）_ 半安娜（正體帶點）剪片，銷崗巴宗日戳。Waterfall統計 西藏打字郵票存世僅見十六例，而此例更集兩款打字樣式於一身，並透過郵戳表明了出自崗巴宗。極為稀 罕難得。1996.7.23 倫敦佳士得拍品號561。(Image 1) (Image 2)

1368 cover image1903 (20 Dec) By Younghusband to his wife in Darjeeling, f.w. Indian KEVII 1a, tied by extremely scarce Temporary PO No.1 type B2 cds. Arrived Darjeeling (20 Dec). This PO was attached to Younghusband’s headquarter and only one date of usage was recorded in “Tibet Stamps and Postal History” (20 Dec 1903). However, this example was even ealier.
