 1949 Shanghai (29 Apr) to USA. Airmail cover, f.w. SYS and revenue issue surch Gold Yuan x9, in total of $137,500, tied by Shanghai bilingual cds. First day cover of Silver Yuan postage but still paying Gold Yuan. Shanghai was
liberated one month later.

 1949 Unissued Dah Tung Print Flying Geese Silver Yuan 10c blue in block of 9 (Yang SPN1a), plus a normal stamp in violet blue for comparison. The block of 9 MNH. It is the recorded largest block of this issue.

 1949 Putien (18 Jun) to USA, f.w. Fukien handstamp surch Silver Yuan 1c on Shanghai Dah Tung Print SYS $7000 in pair (Chan S44), tied by Fukien Putien cds. Cover roughly opened a top. In “China Silver Yuan Stamps” by Patrick
Choy, a very similar cover was illustrated and the author stated that it is probably a blindmen’s document given the postage and cut corner at bottom left. It is also stated that it is the unique example of Fukien handstamp surch Silver Yuan 1c on
blindman’s document. However, it is another example.
1949.6.18 莆田寄美國，貼福建手蓋銀圓1分蓋上海大東版孫像7000元雙連（陳目S44），銷福建莆田三格點線日戳。封頂打開。蔡國雄著《銀圓郵票》中記載一件極為相似、日期相近、地址和貼票均相同之信封。由於符合瞽者文件郵資，伴以左下剪角，故蔡推斷為瞽者文件，並稱應為貼用福建手蓋銀圓1分之瞽者文件孤品。此為另一例，可見何其稀罕難得。(Image 1)

 1949 Hengyang (11 Aug) to to Foochow, returned to Hengyang, f.w. Revenue stamp Kwangtung ovpt Domestic Letter Rate on $200 on reverse, tied by Hunan Hengyang cds. Arrived Foochow but returned to Hengyang via Chungking (25 Jan),
Changsha (3 Feb). Arrived on 5 Feb. Peculiar franking of Kwangtung unit stamp on cover from Hunan. Foochow was liberated on 17 Aug, just a few days after this cover was sent.

衡陽寄福州，退回衡陽，背貼印花稅票廣東加蓋國內信函單位票，銷湖南衡陽三格點線日戳。抵福州但被退回，1.25經重慶，2.3經長沙，2.5抵達。廣東單位票於湖南貼用之有趣例子，日期更為福州解放（8.17）前數天。(Image 1)
