The enclosed letter contains interesting content describing a visit to King George County, Northampton County, Norfolk, and Portsmouth,
"the county is so level that in a field of 500 acres there will not be a deviation of one foot from a dead level. The people go almost entirely in vehicles instead of riding upon horseback. They sometimes go 60 to 80 miles a
day.”
