1872 (June 27) Entire (lower flap missing) from Minuf to Cairo with typographed 1pi red cancelled by the rare Minuf negative seal handstamp, manuscript "Minuf 2/27/6/72" (second post on June 27), small part arrival c.d.s.
Minuf should have been issued with a "V.R Poste Egiziane" c.d.s in 1869/71 but no such c.d.s is recorded and it was presumably lost; this "Egyptian Khedivial Post Office" seal handstamp was therefore used before the arrival of the "Poste Khedevie
Egiziane" c.d.s in 1873. Very rare, with Todd Certificate (2017). Photo on Page 150. (Image1)
