1426 Christmas Air letters. 1942-45 Air letters with pictorial Christmas Greetings inside and/or a Christmas picture on the address panel, two unused, ten used with stamps (one with G.B 3d, one with India + Burma stamps, others with India stamps), seven posted without stamps (two of these endorsed "Free Xmas Lettercard" or "Free Xmas Mail"), ten different internal pictures, a fine and scarce group. (19).

1427 Christmas Air Letters. 1943-45 Pictorial Christmas Greetings air letters all with "Postage Free" printed on the address panel or reverse, printed Christmas Greetings inside, some also with pictorial greetings on the front, seven R.A.F types, two unused, seven others posted free of charge (one to Canada), one scarce used air letter with "RAF POST / INDIA / POSTAGE / FREE / XMAS 1934" printed on the front with the year error then overprinted "1943" in red (also a front), a scarce group. 1443 P.O.W Mail. 1942-46 P.O.W postcards (4) and lettersheets (20) from Italian P.O.Ws to Italy, 22 sent by air, the postcards franked 4a in stamps, lettersheets with 8a in stamps (16) or an 8a meter mark (2); also covers, cards and lettersheets from Italy to P.O.Ws in India (10, four with stamps removed by the censor), two with boxed air mail cachets "via Sofia-Istanbul" or "via Chiasso-Sofia-Bagdad". Nine lettersheets or cards with stamps cancelled by the censor cachet, two of these unusual circular or oval intaglio type cachets, a good lot with items from camps 10, 13, 14, 22-28. (34).
