1218 Leipzig - Pictorial Notepaper. 1837 (June 13) Entire letter from Leipzig to Rutherglen, Scotland, yellow paper headed with a superb engraving of a steam train approaching a station with crowds waiting, the address panel with Leipzig datestamp and "FRANCO", Glasgow Penny Post and boxed "½", file folds and minor edge faults with small piece missing from reverse flap (not affecting the fine letterhead).

1219 German States. 1849-1900 Mint and used collection in an album including Baden (57, with 1862-65 30k apparently used), Bavaria (42 imperf issues, with piece bearing 1850-58 9k + 18k), Brunswick, Bremen with 1865 7gr mint, 5sgr deep green and 5sgr moss green used (all three with Egel or Grobe guarantee letters), Hannover, Lubeck, Mecklenburg-Schwerin with 1856 4/4s mint, 1864 4/4s mint (3) and cover bearing two used examples, Oldenburg (32), Prussia (121, with 1866 thin transparent paper 30sgr used (4), shades, cancels, etc), Saxony, Wurttemberg, etc. A very useful collection, some multiples, a few faults and not all guaranteed but most appear genuine.
