859 image1905 (Nov 7) QV 1d + 1d Reply card to USA, crossed with blue lines for registration, the registration fee unpaid with "The absence of the registration fee has been duly noted and a v.n sent in respect thereof" presumably written on in London, reverse with red "REGISTERED / 4 / LONDON" datestamp crossed out and replaced by oval "REGISTERED / 26 / LONDON" datestamp in black, backstamped at New York and Newark. A very unusual card, sent by the Falkland Islands Postmaster advising the only QV stamps still in stock are the 9d and 2/6 values. Photo on Page 118. (Image1)
