2 1871 General Post Office circular maps, for England and Wales, and for Scotland, the two maps in separate boxes both labelled as the property of The Postmaster General. Superb detailed maps laid down on cloth, showing railways used by the Post Office and postal routes by mail coaches, mail carts, horse posts and passenger mail cars, stage coaches and omnibuses, foot messengers and steam packets, also post towns, sub-offices and places without post offices where postal routes branch or terminate. Very rare. (2).

13 1d Blacks. 1840 (Oct 28) Printed notice "Sale by Auction of the Estate called The Hayes situate in the Parish of Standish in the County of Gloucester, advertised to be sold by Mr C.F Moore is for the present Postponed" posted from Gloucester to Monmouth franked by a 1d black HI plate 1b (three margins, crossed by file fold); and a May 6th 1840 letter posted from London to Eastbourne with clear MY 6 backstamp and partial Maltese Cross cancel, the 1d black tragically removed from what would have been a First Day use of the stamp. Also commemorative items from 1940 and later concerning the 1d black, all written up on pages.
