1578 1954 (Dec. 21) Large registered cover from Singapore to New York, severely scorched and defective, with remnants of seven $2 stamps, enclosed within a very large (353x227mm) O.H.M.S. Post Office ambulance envelope with the London F.S. registration label affixed, New York Customs Free handstamp and arrival c.d.s (Jan. 27), both with the boxed Prestwick cachet in violet. The only ambulance envelope seen for the small mails carried from Malaya. (2).

1579 1961-83 Covers comprising 1961 (Sep. 2) damaged front from Kuala Lumpur to New York taped to U.S.P.O. envelope to give address, Official Seal with New York cancel and "Received in bad condition at NY AMF" cachets, a biro "Cathay Air Lines Crash" appears contemporary but no trace found of such an incident and sold on its merits; 1967 cover from Sungei Siput to G.B. with green boxed "DAMAGED BY / SEA WATER" applied in London; 1981 cover to Kuala Lumpur with Malay cachet which translates as "Found Open & Torn Officially Sealed"; 1983 cover from San Francisco to Patrick Cassels in Tawau, scorched and the stamps washed off, from a fire at Subang Airport, Kuala Lumpur. (4).

1580 1961 (Dec. 13) Singapore Forces Air Mail cover to England franked 10c, tied by Airport slogan cancel, redirected with R.A.F. Postal Services label to R.A.F. Akrotiri, flown on the B.E.A. flight which crashed at Ankara on Dec. 21st. With B.F.P.O. 53 (Cyprus) "Damage and Delay to Mail" form to same addressee, only used on forces mail. A rare origin, the only item seen from Malaya or Singapore

1581 1968 (Apr. 7) Cover from G.B. to R.A.F Changi, water stained and the stamps washed off, recovered from the B.O.A.C. crash at Heathrow on April 8th, enclosed within an O.H.M.S. Returned Postal Packet ambulance envelope with Home Postal Depot R.E. 54 c.d.s (Apr. 23), accompanied by a cyclostyled violet letter dated April 1968. (2).

1582 1968 Severely fire damaged cover to Singapore, enclosed within an O.H.M.S. Returned Postal Packet ambulance envelope, registered with a Home Postal Depot, R.E registration label, with backstamps of Home Postal Depot R.E 54, Forces Post Office 19 (both Apr. 23) and Singapore. An accompanying letter in black, dated May 1968, does not belong, but was sent with another cover recovered from this crash. (2).
