1935 Silver Jubilee, 12c Lithographic publicity proof in black on glazed card, 50x32mm. The Crown Agents had forty copies of this 12c lithographically printed by Waterlow & Sons (the original die proofs being
recess printed) for sending to newspapers and magazines in order to illustrate the stamp and publicise the issue; these were accompanied by a request to return the proof after use, but a few were evidently never returned. Fine and rare. Photo
