Paradise Valley Stamp Company Sale - S128

"Paradise Live" #S128 The Camelback Collection of Quality US Stamps Part 2 - October 19, 2024

We are thrilled to offer the second part of the Camelback collection. This time with the ever-popular Washington-Franklin issues including coil singles and pairs on exceptional quality in a scope that we have never offered before. There is no doubt that in the 25 years it took to form this collection, the true hunt was for the issues from the 1908-32 period. This is clearly exemplified by the highlights in the paragraph below. A remarkable selection of rare coils incl. a beautifully centered lightly hinged 1909, 10c Yellow coil pair (#356), #388 2c Carmine in both a single and a pair, the rare 3c Orangeburg coil (#389) single used, the 1916 2c Carmine type II Rotary Coil mint pair (#491), one of the finest extant 1916-17 30c Orange perf 10 without watermark mint never hinged (#476A) and an extremely fine 1919, 2c Carmine Rose type II perf 11x10 mint single (#539). These highly sought after issues are just the tip of the iceberg with numerous very fine – extremely fine singles and pairs offered as well.

Virtually every stamp in this part of the collection is furnished with a certificate either from the time of purchase or very recently. Extension for stamps with certificates older than 5 years will be granted as is customary in the auction trade, however with one very notable condition which applies to the Camelback Collection lots only. If a stamp has a prior certificate from the Philatelic Foundation it would have to be submitted again to the Philatelic Foundation along with a copy of the first certificate. The same rule applies for a stamp a with prior certificate from the PSE, in which case the stamp would have to be submitted to the PSE along with a copy of the first certificate. All lots offered without reserve. Live bidding will start at 1 p.m. EDT on Saturday, October 19, 2024, thru Stamp Auction Network. Lots sold in this sale are subject to a 12½% buyer’s premium.
