Proof and topical collectors will delight in the many artists' die proofs included in this sale. Several are quite rare as lees than ten of each were issued. We also have included a number of attractive classics, most signed or with certs., the first set re-issued in 1862 complete, a nice run of the 1870 Bordeaux used with many very fine and extremely fine examples in a variety of shades, a beautiful essay/proof collection mounted for exhibition offered intact, an attractive run of air post, pre-cancel and official issues de luxe proofs, scarce and rare postage dues as well as several attractive singles from the Sage issue. Further scarce Slania proofs from Monaco and attractive topical proofs from FSAT and St. Pierre & Miquelon.

Many of the better stamps in the sale have expert markings or old French dealer markings on the back. Any stamp signed by Pascal Scheller, Paris have been directly submitted by us. If the buyer wishes to obtain a certificate for any of these stamps, or any other stamp in the sale, we are able to obtain these at cost from Mr. Scheller.
