The Joe Pryluck Collection of United States Surcharged Postal Stationary - December 8, 2020

The Joe Pryluck Collection includes spectacular holdings of both the 1920 and 1925 surcharged envelopes, as well as similar surcharges produced in 1920 for postal cards and a slew of later surcharges applied to various pieces of postal stationery. The 374 lots presented here represent only a fraction of the volume of Joe Pryluck’s collection; the remainder of the material (primarily collection lots and accumulations) will be offered in early 2021 sale. A few specific highlights include: -UPSS 2742, 1920 2c on 1c Green, Die 127(A) (U447A), Chicago type 2 surcharge, one of two known (Lot 1031) -UPSS 3038, 1920 2c on 3c Dark violet, Die 146(H) (U480), Daytona type 7 surcharge in violet (Lot 1178) -UPSS 3453, 1958 1c+3c Dark violet, Die 169(B) (U540a), unused entire, one of four known (Lot 1328)
