304 ogbl 17bb/b image#17bb/b, 6p Ultramarine, large "OS", double perforations, striking bottom left corner margin block of six (2x3), with center pair showing double perforations vertically (both rows perforated almost on top of one another), plus there are double horizontal perforations between the second and third row, quite fresh and well centered, o.g., bottom pair n.h., couple of P.O. applied small strips of gummed paper to hold the doubly perforated pair to the other stamps in the multiple, very fine; a choice and impressive double perforation multiple with large "OS" punctures (for two examples of the variety, plus four normal "OS" singles A$2,700+). (Image) Est. 2,000-3,000

SOLD for $3,250.00

305 O 17bb/e image#17bb/e, 6p Ultramarine, retouched second "E" of "PENCE", large "OS", used, well centered, neatly cancelled at top left allowing the variety to show unobstructed, very fine; scarce and desirable, but especially so being the large "OS" official displaying the variety (A$1,250+). (Image) Est. 750-1,000

SOLD for $800.00
Will close during Public Auction
306 O 24ba image#24ba, 9p Violet, large "OS", horizontal strip of four, used on a large portion of a parcel post label, along with a horizontal pair of the 4p Orange with small "OS" punctures, tied by multiple strikes of slightly unclear "Brisbane/16.Sep.14" c.d.s., this 3/8p rate represents the interstate rate for a parcel weighing between 6 and 7 lbs, some faults to both stamps and label, still quite scarce and very exhibitable, as combination frankings of large and small "OS" stamps are most unusual (for used stamps A$600). (Image) Est. 200-300

SOLD for $270.00
Will close during Public Auction
307 O 24ba/a image#24ba/a, 9p Violet, large "OS", watermark inverted, a used example of this enormously rare watermark error, being one of approximately six copies known, all of which are used and all have large "OS" punctures, fresh color, lightly cancelled, centered to bottom, fine for this; one of the rarest watermark errors of the entire Kangaroo series; this stamp, and the stamp offered in the next lot, were once a pair, this copy being the left stamp (A$10,000). (Image) Est. 7,500-10,000

SOLD for $13,000.00
Will close during Public Auction
308 O 24ba/a image#24ba/a, 9p Violet, large "OS", watermark inverted, used, a virtually identical used example of this rarity, being the right stamp from what used to constitute a horizontal pair, rich color, lightly cancelled, fine; the appearance of one copy of this elusive stamp is a seldom seen event, to have two in one sale is a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence (A$10,000). (Image) Est. 7,500-10,000

SOLD for $12,000.00
Will close during Public Auction

SOLD for $14,500.00
