1521 ogO Mesopotamia interesting collection on Scott pages, includes nineteen of the Baghdad surcharges, with catalog values to £550, includes a mint and used S.G. #7, otherwise all different, includes S.G. #20 with PF certificate stating a double overprint (Scott #26a) but BPA certificate states it to be a slurred overprint (cataloged as the normal stamp), also complete runs of the Mosul and 1918-20 Iraq issues (including officials), a few Gibbons listed varieties, most o.g., a few small faults but largely fine or better; five BPA and two PF certificates accompany; would make a great start to a collection of this elusive colony. SCANDINAVIA COLLECTION

1523 ogO Scandinavia comprehensive and valuable collection in two albums, each of the Scandinavian countries, plus Danish West Indies, is a substantial mint and used collection for the country, all are collected from their first issues to about 1950 and are generally very comprehensive within that period, one of the most substantial and valuable countries is Iceland, starting with the first mint Skilling values, as well as extensive later Numeral issues, 1897 surcharges are complete mint and used, then many of the sets and singles of the 20th century, including the 10Kr Surcharges mint, and the 1930 Parliament Millenary issue cplt. for regular, air mail and officials, all mint, another significant country is Sweden which starts with a sound unused 3s Blue green, though centered just into the design at left (#1; accompanying 1982 Slavomir Kaiser certificate), very extensive mint and used of both 19th and 20th century adds up very quickly as very few are lacking, and includes some very scarce specialty items as 15o Violet watermarked (#189; Nils Svensson certificate), plus much more, each of the other countries is similarly collected, Denmark starts with a 2rs Blue first printing (#1a) and has real strength in the various numeral issues, DWI is virtually complete including various printings of the numerals, Greenland has the Liberation overprints complete in both colors, Finland has some some excellent mint and used serpentine roulettes and other better mint and used 19th century, and Norway is just virtually all there mint or used, condition varies, but overall it is very presentable and better than often found, the vast majority being o.g. or used, fine-very fine; examination will prove very worthwhile on this highly desirable collection. 1537 c Worldwide air post cover collection of 80 covers representing a wide range of various special flights and first flights, included are 24 Zeppelin covers, mostly German starting with six Rhein-Main flights, one with three 30pf Green Rhein-Main air posts, there is also an additional "Gelberhund" card, includes better South American and Polar Zeppelin frankings, other covers include ten "DO-X" covers, some with better frankings, plus catapult and glider flights, we note a reduced IPOSTA souvenir sheet to slightly larger than the block size on registered air post cover from the exposition, etc., some covers have small tape stains at the sides, otherwise quite attractive and mostly fine-very fine with better frankings throughout.
