image 1940: Cover from Australia to Ocean Island with 2 d. carmine tied by "Goulburn" machine cancel (Nov 28). Reseal "OPENED BY CENSOR" in red at left tied in violet and cover received back in Sydney (Jan 23, 1941) with cds on reverse; after the mail had been recovered from the "S.S. Triona" which had been sunk by the Japanese but the mail had survived. Cover endorsed in manuscript "Raider Mail" in red crayon on Ocean Island to explain the delay.
