Cat No: Collection

image Post-WWI Air Shows Collection, 1925-40, Hundreds of items pertaining to air shows held throughout the U.S., primarily from 1925 to 1940, have been gathered in this two-volume collection. One volume is mounted on 11" x 17" pages; the other is an impressive private scrapbook of the 1930 Cleveland Air Races. Women's Air Races, for some reason, have always been collected as a separate category and there are a number of pages concerning those meets. There is a page each on balloon and glider meets. These events typically were promoted using promotional labels, often applied to a cover. They—as well as the spectacular promotional covers—make this an ideal collection for expansion, limited only by one's imagination. Fully imaged online. Ex Groten.
