image Germany Inflation and Hyperinflation Covers on Exhibit Pages, with a 24 page exhibit, focusing on the various postal rates (rate chart provided on the title page), during the inflation period in 1923. The exhibit contains 31 covers (and roughly 50 different used stamps), noting printed matter, postcards, registration, local and first class rates, overseas mail, single and multiple frankings (including overprints), along with a few first day and last day rate covers. The lot also includes 15 inflation and or hyperinflation covers which were probably intended for exhibit inclusion at some point . An interesting and well researched exhibit which should appeal to collectors and dealers alike, overall fine to very fine. (Image)

image Group of Roughly 100 Germany Covers and Cards from World War II, loose in a small box, containing 50 military covers, noting various handstamp types and field post offices, including enclosures for a few of the covers, and an interesting prisoner of war free franking cover from the United States to Germany. The balance of the lot contains covers and postal stationery (including some unused), mostly with registered rates, with retail prices marked in pencil by the owner, generally ranging from $5 to $15. The collection generally consists of used stamps ranging from the 1870s up to 1920, with a mixture of mint and used stamps and or sets from 1920 to the 1970s, including Berlin, DDR, and German States (notably Baden, Southern District, and Thurn and Taxis). The majority of stamps have been identified and catalogued by the owner, using Scott numbers and values, noting roughly 50 pre-1876 used stamps, along with some singles and sets cataloguing from $10 to $40 and up.
