Old Time Stock of St Pierre & Miquelon, Mostly Early 1940s, an old Bileski stock, with each single, set or part set in its own glassine, with catalogue number and old asking price. A good portion of this lot is made up of France Libra overprints and surcharges, and Bileski often offered these with varieties, sometimes in a pair or in a block. Includes back of the book such as Dues (J45/66), B9, C20 and other interesting items. There is duplication of up to 113 in one case, but often we find 1 to 30 examples, of stamps now cataloguing in the $17 to $85 range. We catalogued a good portion of the lot, which came to $18,345 and we are confident the entire lot will catalogue $20,000 or more. This valuation does not include premiums for the numerous surcharge and overprint varieties within. A very useful lot for an online or show dealer, quality is fine to very fine and fresh, and the great majority (if not all) is never hinged. (Image)
