Bermuda Stampless: New York to Bermuda: 29 February 1845 BERMUDA/ SHIP LETTER S1 Type I in red light impression, on full folded letter (ink spots) from New York date lined Feb 29, 1845 bearing manuscript "pr Brig Falcon", docketed St. George arrival Mar 10th. Contents refer to this letter being a duplicate of one sent by the Sch. Lyra and refers to a damaged Swedish vessel Neptunius that put into Bermuda, and disposition of her cargo which will be picked up by the Brig Lawrence Copeland.

A Mr. M. Higgens writes to a Mr. Chalmont - Page one conveys cotton market conditions and profit etc.

British Commonwealth: 1901 - 10: The pen and ink portrait used for King Edward VII Key Plate Designs, one of only ten copies signed by the artist Emil Fuchs, mounted on exhibition page extremely fine and rare. Ex Maisel.
Emil Fuchs MVD (1866 - 1929) was an American sculptor, medalist , painter and author. He worked in Vienna, London and New York. He painted portraits of Queen Victoria and King Edward VII and was fashionable among London and American high society in the early 20th Century. A nice selection of his work can be seen at the Brooklyn Museum in New York.
