1963   imagePEI FIRST ISSUE COVER - A nice item with several interesting attributes, mailed from Charlottetown to Park Corner, New London Feb. 25, 1863, the 2p rose perf. 9 stamp is straight edged on both sides - possibly indicating it came from a pane which was imperforate vertically, mailed to Donald Montgomery - a member of the Canadian Senate and also grandfather of Lucy Maud, the author of "Anne of Green Gables". small flaws but nice appearing, ex. 1964   NOVA SCOTIA REFERENCE (COLIN BAUGILD) - About a dozen pages of notes on the first issue of Nova Scotia including copies of the invoice for the original order of pence stamps (to Joseph Howe), detailed notes regarding the production of the dies, Bartlett Letterhead (small faults) and some information about Mr. Baugild. Includes two covers: one domestic franked with #2 and one to the US franked with #4 - both with faults/problems. Perfect lot for the student.
