Internet/Mail Sale - March 14, 2018

Welcome to our March 2018 mail auction and thanks to all who participated in our January sale. We had a record number of bid sheets and there was good demand in all sections of the catalogue.

During the last two months I was able to purchase some very nice collections with the result that you will find a stronger than usual selection of foreign material in this sale. Some of the highlights include:

  • A very nice Switzerland collection with dozens of very scarce mint and used sets and souvenir sheets
  • Strong Liechtenstein with many key items
  • Equally good Austria with extensive coverage
  • Rare Somalia and other Italian area countries, particularly Somalia
  • Several key classics including a Sweden #1 used
  • Also worthy of special mention is a valuable collection of Great Britain broken down into suitable lots and containing many elusive stamps from the penny black to the £1 Seahorse and P.U.C. issues to scarce postage dues and officials.
  • Canada is well represented as usual. You will find classic issues, some lovely high value Jubilees, proofs and modern errors.
As normal, SAN bidding for this Sale will close at on a Wednesday - March 14th , 2018- at 3:00PM EST - and all bidding will end at 5:00 PM EST of the same day.

Eastern Auctions Mail Sale lots have NO Buyer's Premiums - you will pay your winning bid and only the actual shipping costs and any required taxes. We are pleased to accept major credit cards at no extra charge in our Mail Auctions.
