GB.QUEEN VICTORIA - 1842 A VERY RARE REGISTERED 2D MULREADY ENVELOPE. 1842 (15 July) 2d blue Mulready envelope, Stereo a105, from Newcastle on Tyne to London (most of the address has been expertly removed) bearing a pair of 1d red-brown
imperfs tied Maltese Cross cancels with an additional strike alongside, endorsed 'Registered July 15 1842' boldly across the top, with Newcastle on Tyne cds on reverse. Believed to be the third discovery of a complete Registered 2d Mulready. Light
folds clear of the stamps and endorsement. A registered 2d Mulready without additional stamps was sold by us for £5500 in our September 2022 auction. (Image

look to his heart and pay a higher wage to his workers '... the rich are appointed by God to to defend and protect the poor...'. This during a strike of Mr Cloughs Woolcombers caused by the forced reduction in their wages. The letter well transcribed
