SEAGULL COVER WITH INTERESTING LETTER Cover with ship's crest on back flap addressed to London, bearing Great Britain 6d stamp tied by '466' (Liverpool) Numeral postmark, plus 'Liverpool Br. Packet' cds alongside and arrival cds on reverse. The cover has various faults. Plus the original lengthy letter on paper with ship's crest written by C. Druitt on board Royal Navy gun-vessel H.M.S. Seagull between 25 May and 8 June with very interesting contents incl description of the ship's voyage, her captain, life in Sierra Leone, weather, governor, comparisons between the African & Chinese workers, school, army unit, labourers, racecourse, mail steamers etc. Very attractive & interesting.
