Worldwide Internet/Mail Sale - November 23, 2022

Welcome to our November 23, 2022 auction. This is our 50th ANNIVERSARY AUCTION since we started running our sales back in November 1972. This sale has over 6,800 lots to choose from and contains some of the best material that we have offered this year. Here are some of the highlights:
  • A nice section of 19th Century United States stamps with many key items including mint #'s 64, 67, 70b, 101 and 197, all with Certificates.
  • United States postal history including Zeppelins, autographed items, hand painted covers, a Pony Express cover, and advertising covers.
  • Excellent Canada from early to modern including high values, proofs, imperforates, lathework, 5-Hole OHMS Perfins, an Inverted Seaway and a $5 Jubilee used block.
  • Cape of Good Hope including a nice group of Mafeking stamps.
  • Southern Nigeria including sets, singles, Specimens and many nice covers.
  • Many major errors including a USA 1¢ Pan American with Inverted Centre, India #40a with Double Impression, and Italy #J3a with Inverted Centre.
  • Terrific sections of Newfoundland, Br. Columbia, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia, including better singles, imperforates, proofs, and postal history.
  • Canada Revenues with many nice sets and singles. The booklet panes include a mint pane of TCN4 which is one of the great rarities of Canadian Telegraph Franks.
  • Hundreds of larger size lots including collections, accumulations, dealer lots, boxes full, and estate lots.
As part of Vance's Anniversary celebrations, 250 bidders will win a Vance Auctions 50th Anniversary mug in this sale.

Don't forget that there is No Buyer's Fee at Vance Auctions and bidding is in inexpensive Canadian dollars. There is no extra charge for credit card use. Bidding information displayed at Stamp Auction Network for our auction lots is now being updated. Bidding on items in the sale will continue until Midnight EST on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

Please note that bids come in from many sources in addition to SAN (including email, telephone, fax, mail, and our own web site). Even if your bid is 'green' at SAN when bidding ends, you could still be outbid. If your bid turns 'red' after Midnight on the last night of bidding, it means that a higher bid was received from another source before Midnight. Auction results for Sale #359 will be posted at www.vanceauctions.com on the evening of Saturday, November 26th.
