Welcome to our Monthly Stamp Auction #566, closing on Wednesday 10th January 2024.

We have a lovely range of 3,361 lots this month, with a large range of New Zealand material as well as all World.

  • Our offering of New Zealand Full Face Queens/Chalons includes lot 669 - a lovely SG 4 FFQ 1d red on blue paper imperf, almost 4 margins, fine used with light cancel (cat £2500).
  • We have a rare New Zealand 1928 Kingsford Smith Southern Cross flight cover (16 covers carried) from NZ carried by T H McWilliams; with enclosed letter from R Nicol to E Graham saying that this is being carried by "Southern Cross" per favour of Mr McWilliams wireless operator; bears 1d Australia GV stamp tied by indistinct Sydney cds; NZAMC 32; see lot 2012.
  • The New Zealand Revenues section (lots1813 to 1874) contains a nice range of Queen Victoria Revenue stamps, in particular lot 1839 – a 1922 £2 QVLT "Fine Paid" not punched with fine cds cancels (Kiwi R83, cat $2000).
  • Our New Zealand Other section (lots 1637-1812) contain ever popular items from alternative mail providers.
