Stamp Boxes - Brass: c.1890 small stamp box (14x31mm) incorporating a minute spring-loaded letter scale, with weight and rate information on the face, Registration No '102604', weight 9gr, in good condition with the spring balance still accurate, ring for attaching to a fob chain. Extremely rare and unusual.

AUSTRALIA: A group of five postcards with artwork by Charles Nuttall: "Fond of his Grub", "Theres no place like home", "Tree-felling", "A Chopping Contest", and "Rail-Splitting." (5, of which one is used from YARRAWONGA). A rare group.
AUSTRALIA: A postcard with artwork by George (Zif) Dunstan: "In Borrowed Plumes" Sir Harry Rawson in Swagmans Attire" FU from Sydney in August 1905.
AUSTRALIA: A group of postcards with artwork by George (Zif) Dunstan, all from his series "Theatrical Travesties", (4, of which 3 are used).
ENGLAND: Four original watercolour artworks by DUDLEY BUXTON (1884 - 1951) for postcards published as part of his "Inter-Art" Comique Series, which first appeared around 1913 and continued until at least the 1930s. All four artworks are watercolours and ink on Robertson's Fashion Board, with three being 270 x 190mm, and one 225 x 165mm. All are accompanied by actual published postcards based on the artworks. (4 artworks, 4 postcards).
NEW ZEALAND: Two postcards related to the New Zealand Rugby Team's legendary tour of Britain in 1905. The first is a real photo of the whole team by Hardie Shaw; the second is a comical card by the artist, Trevor Lloyd, depicting "The Moa and the Lion". Both cards are Unused. (2). In the course of the tour New Zealand scored 830 points with only 39 points scored against them. The Moa bird has since been replaced by the Kiwi as a symbol of New Zealand.
NEW ZEALAND: Nice group of "W & T Series" postcards, with subjects including silhouetted "Popper on the Bike", "Mummer on the Bike","New Zealand Cities by Night", etc. (12, incl. a couple of duplicates).
NEW ZEALAND: 1908 AMERICAN FLEET VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND PPC published by J.W.H. Martin; with advertisement for ROSLYN Unshrinkable All-Wool Underwear on the reverse. Unused.
NEW ZEALAND: 1908 AMERICAN FLEET VISIT PPCS: one by artist, Trevor Lloyd "TE-HONGI" Hands across the sea, hand-coloured, FU May 1910 from Auckland; the other card, by Spreckley & Co is headed "HAERE - MAI : The Auckland Squadron Greets the American Fleet", also hand-coloured, FU Aug.1908 from Auckland. (2). Rare.
