1357 1911 Aviation Meeting. Real Photo picture postcard depicting J. Christiaens biplane in flight, a small piece of the surface torn away at upper right corner, otherwise a fine and rare card. Posted from Singapore to USA franked 3c, the interesting message including "The picture represents the aeroplane ascent in Singapore in June 1910 [1911], Mr J. Christiaens was the aviator. He was the first aviator to visit this island. The field represented is called the Race Course. I myself witnessed his flights.".

1359 1911 Aviation Meeting. Two picture postcards of "First Aeroplane Flight Race-Course Singapore 16th (17th) March 1911", one depicting J. Christiaens in his Bristol biplane, the other the plane in flight. The first card with a 1c stamp on the front cancelled to order at Singapore (Mar 23), the second posted in 1913 from Singapore to France franked 3c, this card with corner creases, otherwise fine and scarce.
