986 Censorship. 1942 Cover franked 1.30 from E.A. A.P.O 2 in Nairobi to Johannesburg, with enclosed "CENSOR'S COMMENT" memo bearing red "DEPUTY CHIEF FILED CENSOR" cachet and comments on the conduct of an individual named in the letter, evidently left in the cover in error. Subsequently returned to the addressees daughter who worked in the censor's office and passed to the Chief Field Censor, E.A. Command, with his letter of apology written on two further "Censor's Comment" forms. A unique group.

987 Censorship. c.1940 Stampless O.A.S cover to USA with "British-American Ambulance Corps, Hiram B.D Blauvelt, Liaison Officer and Representative in Africa" printed in the corner, to the Vice-President of the Corps in New York, with E.A. Forces censor (Colley EAB3, No. 7) and violet circular "DEPUTY CHIEF FIELD CENSOR / EAST AFRICA" (unrecorded, similar to EAF1 but number removed). Also a cover franked 1.30 to Switzerland with circular "DEPUTY CHIEF FIELD CENSOR" (EAF1A). (2).
