VERY FINE. A CHOICE 10-CENT FRAMELINE STAMP ON AN UNUSUAL ENVELOPE OF BRITISH MANUFACTURE IN 1862.
The use of English stationery with an 1862 watermark in the Confederacy in 1863 suggests that this might have originated in New Orleans and was carried to Mobile by the Louisiana Relief Committee, although there are no forwarding markings present to confirm the origin. (Image)
