495   Image3c Ultramarine, Better Cancels (114). Small study of better cancels, 21 stamps, variety of designs incl. leafs, stars, red seven point star, letter "M", railroad, "Paid", boxed Hamburg transit, red "4" in circle, shield, two which appear to be a pumpkin face and perhaps a beer mug (not the Suffield Ct. mug), strip of four with N.Y. registered handstamps, some flaws to be expected but overall a nice group of strikes, culled from a much larger 3c cancellation study (Image)

SOLD for $650.00

496   Image3c Ultramarine (114). Four singles, each wildly misperfed creating four distinct varieties, first with full "No. 10" at top, second with part imprint at top with perfs well clear of top of imprint frame, perforated thru "3" at bottom and s.e. capturing the rest of the design at bottom, third perforated far in on two sides creating a two-thirds stamp, last a "movie film" single with two-thirds of bottom part of design at top and one-third of top part of design at bottom, couple inconsequential flaws, a striking group which would be a nice addition to an exhibit, far more desirable than the typical "merely cut in" 3c misperfs (Image)
