- RW21RC imageRW21RC, 1954 Ring-necked Duck, This remarque has been done with such delicacy that you almost don't notice the addition at first. In recognition of Harvey Sandstrom (although Michaelsen has titled it a tribute remarque). The gray sky has been extended into the left selvage of the stamp and a color ring-necked duck, practically identical to the drake on the stamp painted flying off the stamp. In addition, Michaelsen has duplicated the reeds that are printed on the stamp. An overall fine example of blending the new with the original stamp. F-VF NH. (Image)

- RW23RT imageRW23RT, 1956 American Merganser, This is an amazing remarque by Ron Jenkins in tribute to Ed Bierly. Look closely at the left selvage, it is almost impossible to tell where the printed stamp stops and the original artwork begins -- that is how fine a remarque this is! In addition to extending the background, Jenkins added a colorful merganser drake. Stamp is signed by Jenkins in the selvage. VF NH (Image)

- RW23RT imageRW23RT, 1956 American Merganser, A tribute remarque by Ken Michaelsen to Edward Bierly. Bierly, an exhibits designer for the National Park Service, spent 14 years visiting U.S. wilderness parks, adding to his knowledge of wildlife and its settings. This experience helped him to win the Federal Migratory Hunting Stamp design competition three times. Michaelsen has added a hunter, standing in tall grass, to the selvage, with the grass blending on to the stamp. The hunter's clothing is a nice match to his surroundings. F-VF NH. (Image)

- RW24RT imageRW24RT, 1957 American Eider, Historian Edward Rowe Snow wrote, "Portland Head and its light seem to symbolize the state of Maine -- rocky coast, breaking waves, sparkling water and clear, pure salt air." This is a beautiful remarque by Ken Michaelsen, a perfect scene to match the American eider's on the stamp. Michaelsen has extended the rocky coast in to the selvage, waves breaking, filled the background with a similar green and painted a finely detailed lighthouse. VF-XF LH (Image)

- RW30RT imageRW30RT, 1963 American Brant, A tribute remarque by Ron Jenkins to Edward Bierly on his second federal stamp. The first federal stamp to picture a lighthouse, this features Bodie Island (pronounced "Body") in North Carolina. The art contest for this year featured a theme, "Ducks for Recreation". This theme was chosen to give recognition to the aesthetic value of ducks and geese, and the great interest they hold for all those who love the out-of-doors. This remarque is a lovely top selvage piece with an added brant coming in for a landing, the sky blended perfectly from the printed stamp on to the selvage, VF-XF NH (Image)
